INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOLOGY (PSY150)
Psychology is the study of the human mind and behaviors. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to a broad range of topics related to the field of psychology that include the biology behind our behaviors, research ethics, perception, cognition, learning, memory, development, personality, social psychology, psychological disorders, and therapy.
RESEARCH METHODS (PSY321)
How do you decide which restaurant to go to on Yelp? Can you trust an online review for a product on Amazon.com? These questions reflect the principles of research methods! In this class, students will practice critical skills in efficiently evaluating research claims. Students will get the opportunity to apply the skills learned in class to design and conduct an original psychology
research study.
SEMINAR IN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PSY 500)
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to a broad range of professional development topics in order to prepare them for the next steps in their career path. This course involves attending research colloquiums as well as hands-on activities designed to refine students' professional development skills.
